On Thursday i.e. 4th April 2024, Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi announced that he has assets worth more than 20 crores and same was mentioned in the election affidavit.
In the election affidavit filed with Election Commission of India, Rahul Gandhi has clearly mentioned that, he owns shares in 25 companies listed in stock market. Apart from the stocks, he has diversified his investments in 7 other mutual funds.
25 Listed companies shares which Rahul Gandhi owns includes blue chip companies and few small cap companies which has shown promising growth in the last couple of years. He has diversified his investment in various sectors like banking, FMCG, Pharma , IT etc.
Rahul Gandhi in his election affidavit has clearly stated that he owns movable assets worth ₹ 9,24,59,264 of which 90% are in stocks and mutual funds. To be precise, his investment is more than ₹ 4.33 crores in shares of various companies and ₹ 3.81 crores in 7 other mutual funds.

Rahul Gandhi had bought shares in companies like Asian paints, ITC, Infosys, Pidilite , ICICI Bank, Divis Laboratories, Bajaj Finance, Suprajit Engineering, TCS, Britannia and many more.

Of all the 25 stocks mentioned in the election affidavit, Rahul Gandhi owns maximum number of shares in Suprajit Engineering. He holds 4068 stocks in this company and the market value of his holdings in this company is ₹ 16,65,439.
In terms of market value Pidilite stands first with ₹ 42,27,432 in which he holds 1474 stocks. Next in the list is “Nestle India” with a market value of ₹ 35,67,001 in which he owns 1370 shares.
Apart from the above major chunk of his holdings are in Bajaj Finance , Asian Paints, Titan Company, Hindustan Unilever , ICICI Bank, Divis Laboratories etc.
Rahul Gandhi’s investment in Mutual Funds :
Rahul Gandhi has invested ₹ 3.81 crores in 7 mutual funds which includes small cap and mid cap.
With Market Value of ₹ 1,23,85,545 [ 1.23 cores ] , Rahul Gandhi had allocated maximum funds in “HDFC Small Cao Reg-G”.
Another mutual fund in which he has invested maximum is ” ICICI Prudential Reg Savings-G” , which has market value of ₹ 1,02,19,702.
Apart from the above 2 mutual funds, he had diversified his funds in 5 other mutual funds i.e. HDFC MCOP DP GR, HDFC Small Cap DP GR, ICICI EQ & DF D Growth, PPF AS FCF D Growth, HDFC Hybrid Debt Fund-G.
Investments in Gold & PPF :
Apart from stocks and mutual funds, Rahul Gandhi has invested in Sovereign Gold Bonds. He holds 220 units of Sovereign Gold Bond 2020-21 whose worth is approximately ₹ 15.2 Lakhs.
Another major investment of Rahul Gandhi is in “Public Provident Fund”. As per the affidavit filed, his PPF has balance of ₹ 61.5 Lakhs.
